Global recognition as a model
Some Lesser known information on Deepika Padukone

What a lovely feeling to write about this on a rainy morning in New Jersey, when the sky is not that clear to look beyond the present. But I did, I gathered some pasts on Deepika Padukone which are lesser known to most readers.
It begins with her life at the very famous badminton player Prakash Padukone's house in Bangalore. She was a dark-skinned, tall young and extremely ambitious daughter of the Padukones, restless to become something in life. Stepping into her father's footsteps, she wanted to become an athlete, a badminton player and some of her growing years were spent in the badminton court, relentlessly. Ace badminton player P.V. Sindhu commented in Instagram, "If she would've played badminton, she would've become the top player," That focused she was in whatever she wanted to do. Kudos !
But, to most of us, it takes long to realize what we really want to do in life. In her early years in the badminton court, Deepika realized that she was playing badminton only because "it ran in the family". She quit the court and her very secure home, "the Padukone's home" in Bangalore and left for Mumbai - the unknown, challenging teritory, in search of a modelling career.
In some years, she became a top model and her face was contracted for top advertising brands. She was announced as global brand ambassador for the French luxury brand Cartier and since then she is seen wearing Cartier luxuries like the diamond necklace she wore at Oscars 2023.
Global recognition as a model

Her frist appearence as an actress was in a music video "Naam hai tera" made in 2005 by Bollywood music director/singer Himesh Reshamiya. Her first film contract came for a South Indian film made in Kannada, "Aishwarya", in 2006. remade in Teugu "Manmadhudu" - a commercially successful film. The following year, 2007, began the shoots of "Om Shanti Om", her first Bollywood film opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The film became a mega hit and made Deepika Padukone the Bollywood actress we know today.
A few words on her love life. She had about eight relationships before getting married to Ranveer Singh in 2018. All her love affairs in the past "pained her", she says, including the last relationship with actor Ranbir Kapoor. But then, failure in love is what makes her deliver her emtional scenes in films and she will always be remembered.
With that signing-off
