Sarva soubhagya dayini: সর্ব সৌভাগ্য দায়িনী
Ishanaa Banerjee, a five year old is a newly found talent in the Tri-State.
Her recitations are all over Social media. Here she is reciting Durga Stotra
fully memorized and uniquely rendered in Sanskrit.
Ishanaa’s father, Suman, who is singing with his daughter, is a Scientist by profession. Music is his passion, and he is proficient in singing different varieties of songs.
He keeps his love for Hindustani Classical Music alive by continuing to be a disciple of Pandit Shantanu Bhattacharya (India).
Ananya Das, Ishanaa’s aunt, helps by creating fliers and in other technical aspects.
The backgrounds seen in this video are her creations.
She is also a writer who writes stories for kids and adults in Bengali.

On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja,
I wish that the festivities bring immense joy and happiness to all of you.
May we recover and emerge stronger and healthier through this pandemic!
Malini’s Music School is now virtually teaching music
to all in State and out of State students.
My goal with my students is to inspire and nurture them
with our culture and heritage. I always teach them seasonal and occasional
songs in Rabindra sangeet, NajrulGeeti, AtulPrashadi, Modern Bengali songs
and share the meaning of the song so that they can sing with feelings.
I also teach Hindustani Classical music.
I do stage performances with my students and encourage them
to sing in front of public to gain self confidence.
I also give lessons to adults who want to enjoy learning
different kinds of music to relax them in midst of their busy schedules.
